On Friday 9 October 2009 lawyers and court staff packed the Court of Appeal to bid farewell to the Hon. Mr Justice Joseph David Camilleri who will be retiring on Tuesday 21 upon reaching the statutory retiring age. The President of the Chamber of Advocates, Dr Andrew Borg Cardona, traced the career of Mr Justice Camilleri from his first appointment as a Magistrate for the Islands of Gozo and Comino in 1977 right up to his appointment to the Court of Appeal and the Constitutional Court.
